We group of students from Central Asia, Tajikistan from small town Sarband writing you this letter. This month we had a project about Right to Education and we learned a lot of new things for ourselves.
It is very important to have education in all spheres. We can’t imagine life without education and knowledge. Learning and knowledge is light. But not all children in the world can get education. Some are missing it. But in Tajikistan girls are missing educations.It is a great issue in our country. Some parents educate only their sons and think that for girls it is not necessary to get education. They must learn only housework as it will be necessary for them when they will get marry. But it must be mentioned girls are very active than boys. But some parents understand that education is very important both for boys and girls and try to do all for their children. Education is one of the inalienable man’s rights, and one of the necessary conditions, that help women to develop self-confidence, as well as gain access to other rights such as the equality before the law, participation in politics, freedom of thought, and the right to labor and rest.In our Tajikistan the government has paid special attention to educational problems: a new law on education has been adopted, and efforts have been made to strengthen the material and technical base of state institutions, as well as provide for financial support for teachers. Special attention is devoted to raising women’s status (including girls’).
After the civil war some of our schools were destroyed. During the Soviet time all our classrooms were equipped with all equipments. Some schools are needed to be repaired and teachers be better trained and classrooms sizes are too small and in some school there are no enough classrooms. Some subject teachers have no classrooms they carry all their things with them all the times. Now our President is doing his best to equip all the school with technology. We are very happy that our school has Internet Learning center where we learn Internet and improve our computer skills and teach other kids from our community. Earlier we do not know about Internet anything.
Education is very necessary for our future health, economic security, political participation and environment. We explored each these themes and understood how education is really very important. For example: if we have education in health it will help us to be aware of some illnesses and keep a good health. Our health would be different if we do not have education. For example if we have any diseases for example even flu. It is very important for us to have education about this. What kind of medicine to take? How to recover from it? Basic education especially for girls is very necessary because they will be mothers in future.. Life is so difficult some parents force their children to earn money. Children who work from early age will think only about how to earn money and education for them is on the last background. And they will think that everything can be bought by money.
Education is essential for economic development and eradicating poverty. It allows people to be more productive, to play a greater role in economic life, and to earn a better living. Education makes it possible for people to be responsible and informed citizens, and to have a voice in politics and society, which is essential for sustaining democracy. It also provides people with the knowledge and awareness needed to promote tolerance and understanding among people.
Education in environment will help us very much how to deal with global warming and clean water, garbage, recycling. People who have environment education will not cut trees, and burn garbage and etc.
At the we want to say that we really understood that education in future is very necessary. Our country is developing now and in future it need qualified workers ,scientists, doctors, engineers and etc. We will do our best to learn and get much knowledge in four themes like health, economic security, political participation and environment.We hope in future all the kids in our planet will be literate and educated.
