Tajik meal


There are four or three meals a day in an Tajik home : Breakfast , lunch ,and dinner (supper ) Breakfast is the first meal of the day .It is about 7 and 8 o ‘clock in the morning and consists of bread ,butter sugar for middle families and for poor families it consists of bread and tea .For rich people it consists of porige with milk ,marmalade , jam or it may be fruit juice and biscuits . The usual time for lunch is 12 or 1 o’clock . Some families have soup , risen soup , palov or the other dish of course one of these dishes . It concerns of the age of the person . But some families eat only fryed potato and it is enough for them .
As the proverb says : Cut your coat according to your cloth . Of course everybody want to eat tasty and full of vitamine dishes .
But not everybody permit or have an opportunity do it . For supper some families eat “ Ugro” a national dish like soup with macaroni .
Meal plays a great role for our health
So the other proverb says :
Good health about the wealth . So food in particular is essential not only for physical survival but contributes to and plays a major role in our family ife ,culture life as well. According to our culture traditions it is forbidden to eat pork. And certainly we order it .
The Tajik kitchen is very rich .There are 50 kinds of soup , more than 50 kinds of oshi palov , about 100 kinds of dough dishes .
