Iskandarkul Lake
We advise you to visit Iskandarkul Lake. The beautiful lake in Tajikistan. This is a lake fed by 5 springs and the water was freezing even in mid-summer. There's a beautiful dacha at this location. The best way to approach this is by road and lies between Penjikent and Dushanbe. The road is narrow and scary with frequent land-slides and a deep fast flowing river on the other side. The place is wondrous and is very pretty. Legend has it that the lake hides an ancient city that was established by Alexander (Sikander - hence the name) and flooded by the invading Arabs.

The reconnoitered stocks only on 5 horizons of this deposit make 10830 thousand tons, and the preliminary data on geological prospecting of the bottom horizons which should be developed in the future, testify to substantial growth of stocks of ores with increase in the maintenance in ore of antimony, mercury and industrial maintenances of gold. Except for it in 40 km from the Anzob Mountain Enrichment Combine (MEC) unique deposits are reconnoitered: gold - mercury - antimonic deposit Skalnoe which is genetically connected to the Jijikrut deposit and located in the rare metallic zone, deposits of gold and silver chore, Pindar, chulboi, Uchkado, representing interest for industrial development.
